Profhilo® is the latest anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatment that is a real game changer in the Aesthetics Industry. Profhilo® is another league above all other injectables. It delivers Hyaluronic Acid directly into the skin which Bio-remodels and tightens the surface. It is the first treatment to contain only 100% pure hyaluronic acid (HA) without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE).

 

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring, gel-like substance in our skin which acts like a sponge. It is holding in moisture and making our skin appear plump, smooth and hydrated. Unfortunately, as we get older the body slows down its production of this vital ingredient. This results in a visible loss of firmness, pliability and suppleness.

 

 

Results

 

Profhilo® softens fine lines and gives overall facial rejuvenation. It does not plump or add volume like fillers. Instead it restores the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid that has been lost with age and produces excellent, natural-looking results.

Suitability

This treatment is suitable as both a corrective and preventative solution to again. However after the age of 30 the skin structures and hydration levels in the skin start to decrease so this is a good time to consider age prevention treatments such as Profhilo® that will stimulate these structures to renew. 

 

Profhilo®was launched in February 2015 in Italy. It’s been used worldwide ever since. Over 150,000 patients have been treated so far with no adverse reactions reported. From a safety perspective, Profhilo® is highly biocompatible. That’s because it is made from ultrapure, natural Hyaluronic Acid and is stabilised without the addition of chemical cross-linking agents. This reduces the risk of adverse reactions so the downtime is minimal, side effects are mild and temporary e.g. redness, pain, swelling. 

 

Treatment

 

Profhilo® Treatments consists of two 45 minute treatments, four weeks apart. Results appear usually after about eight weeks from the first treatment date and increase over time with new collagen and elastin forming. The effects typically last around 6-9 months.

 

Due to the its high spread ability, only 5 injection points on each side of the face are needed, which means patients find the treatment much more comfortable. 

 

As with any injectable treatment, there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling, however, these are very rare. The procedure is very quick and the needle used to administer the treatment is very fine so most patients do not feel any discomfort. Another bonus is that there is no downtime afterwards. This means you are fine to resume your everyday activities as soon as you leave the clinic.
